Newman’s Own Organics was kind enough to send us a huge box of goodies, lucky us! My first thought was “wow, I didn’t know that there were organic options available for so many of the sweets that I crave.” There are organic pretzels, popcorn, Fig ‘Newmans’, and even some big-time sweets like chocolate cookies and peanut butter and caramel cups. I waited about 4 days to write this review as I wanted to sample a little bit of each to give you an honest opinion. And… I can honestly say that each thing tastes really good. That’s not the biggest surprise now that I think about it, I mean when I eat a carrot that’s organic and compare the taste to one that is not, the organic one tastes better. That’s mother nature looking out for us and trying to steer us clear of the bad stuff! It all got me thinking a bit and while shopping the next day at the market I looked at the label of the other chocolate cookies that I had bought in the past. Yikes, a lot of stuff I couldn’t pronounce or didn’t know of that I was putting in my system.
Now I’m not going to lie and tell you that these sweets from Newman’s Own Organics are healthier than eating a giant salad. Let’s be honest though, we all crave goodies and sweets so why not have something that’s totally delicious and has ingredients you know of. On top of all that, Newman’s Own Organics is a great company when it comes to their vision of the world and their philanthropic approach to business and what they do with their profits.
Oh one other product that was a total winner were the breath fresheners. They come in really cool tins that look awesome and will grab attention (I want to keep them for knick-knacks after they’re done), and the mints are tasty and of course organic!
